Chongqing, October 9 (Zhang Xu) — The large-scale cross-border exploration program The Great Way was launched in Chongqing on October 9. Multiple reporting teams will be dispatched to ASEAN countries including Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam to conduct an immersive interview tour lasting about 20 days.

Two major corridors — the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and the China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) — support Chongqing and drive China's western region to cross mountains and seas. In the first half of the year, Chongqing transported over 180,000 TEUs of goods via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, with a cargo value of 32.501 billion yuan, achieving both quantitative and qualitative improvement.

The topics of this exploration activity cover not only industrial collaboration, cultural exchanges and connectivity achievements along the aforementioned logistics corridors, but also deeply explore the striving stories of Chongqing enterprises going overseas and frontline builders. The program will use ordinary people from different countries who share the same vision as its entry point to tell the story of China-ASEAN economic and trade exchanges and cultural interactions.

The program will also invite journalists from multiple Southeast Asian countries to participate in interviews in different segments, jointly presenting the regional prosperity brought by the aforementioned logistics corridors.

The program is guided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and planned and implemented by Chongqing Broadcasting Group (General Station)'s First Eye TV.
