Upcoming Fuel Price Hike Scheduled for Late September

As of September 18, international crude oil prices have declined for three consecutive trading sessions, with futures closing lower across major benchmarks.

At the close of trading on September 18, light sweet crude oil for October delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange dropped $1.61, or 1.58%, to settle at $100.30 per barrel. Meanwhile, Brent crude oil for November delivery on the London ICE Futures Exchange fell 95 cents, or 0.91%, to close at $103.87 per barrel.

Based on the current pricing mechanism for refined oil products, the next adjustment to domestic fuel prices is scheduled to take effect at 24:00 on September 24.

On September 17, which marked the fourth working day of the current pricing cycle, projections indicated an increase of 610 yuan per tonne for gasoline and 590 yuan per tonne for diesel.

Converted to per-liter figures, this would translate into a rise of 0.49 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline, 0.52 yuan per liter for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.50 yuan per liter for 0-grade diesel.

These adjustments reflect the lagged impact of earlier international price movements, despite the recent three-day pullback in global crude benchmarks.
