芯片制造商美光科技周四宣布，将斥资约2000亿美元用于美国本土制造及研发投入。这是自特朗普胜选总统以来，又一家宣布对美进行大规模投资的企业。
该公司在声明中表示，这笔资金将包括约1500亿美元用于美国国内制造生产，另有500亿美元投入研发领域。美光透露，此次投资较此前计划额外增加300亿美元，其中包括在爱达荷州博伊西市建设一座存储芯片工厂。尽管美光去年曾放缓部分计划，但此前已承诺投资约1250亿美元在美国建厂。
美光这项总规模达2000亿美元的投资计划的时间框架尚未明确。近年来，该公司每年的资本支出在70亿至125亿美元之间。
