Hong Kong Market Update: HX BLDG MAT Surges Over 6% on Strong Interim Profit Jump

Shares of HX BLDG MAT (06655) climbed more than 6% in Hong Kong trading, last up 5.19% to HK$15.42 with turnover reaching HK$29.34 million.

The company recently posted its interim results for 2026, revealing revenue of RMB 19.497 billion, a year-on-year increase of 21.5%. Net profit attributable to shareholders surged 55.22% to RMB 1.713 billion, with basic earnings per share at RMB 0.83.

This robust performance was driven by sustained growth in overseas operations, higher year-on-year average selling prices for cement products, and enhanced cost control measures.

During the reporting period, the company sold 34.787 million tonnes of cement and clinker, marking a 25.42% increase. Notably, overseas cement and clinker sales reached 13.1752 million tonnes, up sharply by 57.06%. Aggregate sales totaled 86.33 million tonnes, a 13.51% rise, while ready-mix concrete sales reached 12.17 million cubic meters.

The cement business generated RMB 12.981 billion in revenue, up 41.85%, with domestic operations contributing RMB 4.44 billion and overseas operations delivering RMB 8.542 billion. The aggregates business brought in RMB 2.812 billion, up 1.78%, while the concrete business contributed RMB 2.97 billion in revenue.
