CITIC RESOURCES (01205) announced its annual results for the period ended December 31, 2025. The Group recorded revenue of HKD 14.965 billion, representing an increase of 57.6% compared to the previous year. Profit attributable to ordinary shareholders of the company was HKD 171 million, a decrease of 70.2% year-on-year. Earnings per share were 2.17 HK cents.

According to the announcement, the decrease in profit was primarily due to the following factors: a significant year-on-year decline in the average selling price of the Group's crude oil and coal; a substantial year-on-year increase in the cost of raw materials, particularly alumina used in production at the Portland Aluminium Smelter; a significant reduction in the share of profits of associates, resulting from the Group no longer holding any equity interest in Alumina Limited effective July 18, 2024; and a share of loss from a joint venture primarily engaged in the exploration, production, and sale of petroleum, as well as the production and sale of road asphalt and clarified oil. This loss was attributed to a year-on-year decrease in the joint venture's average crude oil selling price.
