Generac's stock surged 12.66% during pre-market trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results.
The company reported quarterly sales of $1,060 million, slightly above the IBES estimate of $1,052 million. More significantly, its adjusted EBITDA of $193 million and adjusted EPS of $1.8 substantially exceeded analyst expectations of $160 million and $1.33, respectively. Adjusted net income also came in well ahead of forecasts.
Furthermore, Generac provided a positive full-year outlook, projecting sales growth of 20% and an adjusted EBITDA margin between 18.5% and 19.5%. The strong earnings beat and optimistic guidance are the primary drivers behind the significant pre-market price increase.
