Atmus Filtration Technologies Inc. (ATMU) shares plummeted 14.48% during intraday trading Friday, following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results.
The filtration solutions company reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.69, beating the Ibes estimate of $0.67, and revenue of $477.5 million, surpassing the $474.3 million estimate. However, the results were overshadowed by significant misses on key profitability metrics. Pretax profit came in at $61.2 million, below the $67 million estimate, and operating income was $76.3 million, missing the $80.8 million forecast.
For the full year 2026, Atmus reaffirmed its guidance, expecting adjusted earnings per share in the range of $2.75 to $3.00 on revenue between $1.945 billion and $2.015 billion. The maintained outlook, coupled with the quarterly profit shortfalls, appears to have driven the negative market reaction during the trading session.
