德国凉鞋制造商勃肯(BIRK)周四表示，将通过加速股票回购协议回购2.5亿美元股票，此前该公司股票刚刚经历了一轮抛售。消息公布后，勃肯股价飙升18%。
此前几天，由于季度增长放缓和全年展望保持不变，勃肯股价曾大幅下跌，引发市场对该公司在奢侈品与大众市场之间定位的质疑。
首席执行官奥利弗·赖克特表示，回购股份的决定反映出管理层认为股价未能充分反映公司的基本面。
他在一份声明中说：“短期市场动态导致我们相信，股价与公司强劲的基本面之间出现了严重脱节。”他还表示，在当前环境下，将现金用于股票回购是“最具吸引力的资本运用方式”。
该股当日交易价为39.5美元，有望创下自2023年上市以来的最大单日涨幅，但仍远低于2024年8月创下的64.70美元的历史高点。
勃肯曾表示，计划在2026财年回购约2亿美元的股票。首席财务官伊维察·克罗洛上周指出，公司正在权衡如何最好地部署这笔资金，因为此前错失了像2025年那样在二次股票发售时同步执行回购的机会。
该公司重申了按固定汇率计算全年营收增长13%至15%的预测。
此项加速股票回购协议预计将于6月30日前完成。
