At the heart of the surging spring tide, a determined drive for progress is underway. On February 4th, the Xixiang Subdistrict in Shenzhen's Bao'an District convened its 2026 Party Working Committee conference, systematically reviewing the development achievements of the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and outlining key tasks for the inaugural year of the "15th Five-Year Plan." The meeting sounded a clarion call for high-quality development as the core growth engine of the Greater Bay Area by focusing on "Ten Key Tasks."
During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Xixiang's development trajectory ascended sharply, achieving a significant leap in comprehensive strength. The subdistrict's Gross Domestic Product successively surpassed four major increments of ten billion yuan; cumulative fixed-asset investment neared 130 billion yuan. Industrial capabilities were markedly enhanced, with national high-tech enterprises surging to 1,235 and the total number of "Four Above" scale enterprises reaching 1,441. Eleven major projects were completed and became operational, contributing 1.693 million square meters of high-quality industrial space, representing a substantial advance in regional comprehensive competitiveness.
Capitalizing on its strategic advantages of being fully incorporated into Shenzhen's metropolitan core area, with 17.3 square kilometers included in the expanded Qianhai zone, the first phase of Tencent's "Internet+" Future Science and Technology City commenced operations. The second phase of Dachan Bay Terminal officially broke ground, while strategic emerging and future industries—such as the low-altitude economy, embodied AI, biomedicine, and digital creativity—accelerated their agglomeration in the area. This has fostered five distinct industrial clusters each valued at over ten billion yuan, spanning smart terminals, electronic vaporization, integrated circuits, photovoltaic energy storage, and software information, making the "Xixiang Intelligent Manufacturing" brand shine ever more brightly.
Urban quality and public welfare advanced in lockstep. The Xixiang Beidi "March 3rd" Temple Fair was recognized as a provincial-level outstanding cultural heritage project, becoming a major cultural event in the Greater Bay Area. Throughout the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, six schools were newly built, renovated, or expanded, adding over ten thousand public school seats. The second phase of the Bao'an District Central Hospital became operational, providing an additional 330 patient beds. In 2025, urban landscape enhancement initiatives created an exquisite environment for the 15th National Games.
Looking ahead to 2026, Xixiang Subdistrict has anchored its primary mission on high-quality development, deploying key tasks across ten fronts. It will prioritize serving Tencent as a core driver, accelerating the agglomeration of the Tencent ecosystem to build the Greater Bay Area's "Game Valley," and facilitating the establishment of more than 20 ecosystem partner companies. Efforts will shift Tencent's "Antarctic Circle" initiative from individual company entrypoints towards collaborative ecosystem development. The focus will extend to cultivating new growth drivers in fields like next-generation electronic information, embodied AI, and the low-altitude economy. The subdistrict will promote its "Three-Heart" enterprise service model, deeply integrating it with the district-level service brand. By leveraging the opportunity to provide services for the APEC conference, Xixiang aims to comprehensively elevate the city's aesthetic appeal and management standards.
Concurrently, efforts will be intensified to strengthen Party-building leadership, promoting the "Party-building Leading Grassroots Refined Governance" model. The goal is to build the "Xixiang Enjoyable Sharing" Party-building brand, thereby consolidating synergistic forces for development. In the coming year, Xixiang Subdistrict will position itself as a "pioneer striving for advanced status" and a "benchmark for overcoming challenges." Adopting a奋斗姿态 of "running forward, seizing time, and competing for first-class," it will dedicate full efforts to writing a new chapter of development characterized by a robust economy, a beautiful city, warm public welfare, and superior governance.
