Jefferies, a prominent Wall Street investment bank, has released a fresh research note that significantly raises its price target for tech giant Meta Platforms from $710 to $875, while reaffirming a "Buy" rating on the stock. Analyst Brent Thill commented in Tuesday's note, "Muse is out of the cage," referring to the new AI agent of the same name introduced by the Facebook parent company. He believes Muse possesses all the hallmarks of a "killer app," with consumer adoption reaching unprecedented levels that clearly surpass Anthropic's Claude or Google's Gemini, and it also carries substantial monetization potential. As of the latest market close, Meta shares surged 11.43% in a single session to $741.25. Based on that closing price, Jefferies' new price target implies roughly 18% additional upside for the stock.
