During the company’s 2026 interim results conference on the afternoon of August 21, Iflytek Co.,Ltd. President Wu Xiaoru announced that a new flagship general-purpose large language model, built entirely on domestically produced computing power, will be launched at this year’s Global 1024 Developer Festival. A phased version of the model is scheduled for release by the end of August.

“This upcoming flagship model is expected to achieve top-tier domestic status in both coding capability and token cost-performance ratio,” Wu stated. “It will also maintain a leading position across all key metrics among general-purpose large models trained on domestic computing infrastructure.”

As a core member of China’s national AI force, Iflytek Co.,Ltd. continues to develop independent, controllable general-purpose models benchmarked against the latest international standards, using domestic chips to safeguard critical national requirements. Despite constraints in computing resources, the foundational capabilities of the Spark large model remain at the forefront of the industry.
