Liu Qiangdong has announced a personal investment of 5 billion yuan to enter the yacht industry, expressing his ambition to produce high-quality yachts priced around 100,000 yuan, making them as accessible to households as cars. When asked about his motivation for entering this sector, Liu referenced his deep-rooted connection to boats, stating, "My family has been involved with boats for over a century. I have a special bond with vessels—even today, I sleep best on a boat."

Liu revealed that after sharing his vision with several international contacts, he has already received five orders for large yachts based on their trust in him personally. Each yacht is priced at an average of 60 million euros, equivalent to approximately 486 million yuan.
