礼来周一宣布，在一项针对儿童溃疡性结肠炎患者的Omvoh注射剂后期试验取得成功后，公司计划寻求扩大该肠道疾病疗法的适应症。
溃疡性结肠炎是一种累及结肠的炎症性疾病。礼来援引为期一年的试验结果表示，其3期SHINE-2研究达到了主要终点——在对Omvoh产生应答的患者中，50%在第52周实现了临床缓解。这项研究共纳入63名年龄在4至17岁之间、患有中度至重度活动性溃疡性结肠炎的患者;第52周的结果则来自其中52名年龄在6至17岁之间、被认定为临床应答者的患者。
礼来表示，该研究中Omvoh的安全性表现与该药物在成人患者中已经确立的耐受性特征一致。不过，有4名受试者出现了与试验药物无关的严重不良事件，另有2名患者在经历溃疡性结肠炎复发后退出了研究。
Omvoh目前已在美国获批用于治疗患有活动性溃疡性结肠炎和克罗恩病的成人患者。礼来计划向全球监管机构提交这些研究结果，以推动Omvoh扩大用于治疗儿童溃疡性结肠炎的适应症。
