On July 29, the State Council Information Office held a press conference themed "Starting Strong for the 15th Five-Year Plan" to discuss intellectual property protection and utilization during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

Rui Wenbiao, spokesperson for the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and deputy director of the bureau, stated that China's international competitiveness in intellectual property has significantly strengthened.

During the first half of the year, the number of PCT international patent applications, Hague system industrial design international applications, and Madrid trademark international registration applications submitted by Chinese applicants all ranked among the top globally, with overall volumes showing stable growth.

In the first five months of this year, China's intellectual property royalty export revenue reached 45.5 billion yuan, a sharp year-on-year increase of 64.9%. This indicates that Chinese enterprises are actively leveraging intellectual property to build new competitive advantages internationally, driving the country's service trade towards higher quality and innovation.
