Yuanda China Holdings Limited reported unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, highlighting a solid top-line rebound but a profit contraction driven by foreign-exchange volatility and higher financing costs.

Revenue rose 23.2% year on year to RMB1.56 billion, supported by a 61.0% surge in mainland China sales to RMB650.56 million and a 5.4% uptick in overseas turnover to RMB909.15 million. The larger domestic contribution lifted the mainland share of total revenue to 41.7% (1H25: 31.9%).

Disciplined project execution and tighter credit risk management pushed the adjusted gross profit margin to 27.3%, up from 23.3% a year earlier. Adjusted gross profit expanded 44.5% to RMB426.25 million. However, profit attributable to equity shareholders fell 23.9% to RMB140.10 million as a RMB79.46 million net foreign-exchange loss and higher interest costs turned finance income of RMB70.31 million in 1H25 into a finance expense of RMB120.45 million in 1H26.

Operating metrics showed mixed trends. Selling expenses increased 50.3% to RMB23.92 million amid active market development, while administrative expenses declined 11.6% to RMB139.17 million following cost-control efforts. Net cash used in operating activities narrowed to RMB36.21 million (1H25: RMB46.39 million).

Total assets stood at RMB4.15 billion at 30 June 2026, with cash and cash equivalents of RMB425.25 million and restricted deposits of RMB441.11 million. Bank loans totalled RMB883.90 million and other borrowings RMB534.95 million, lifting the gearing ratio to 85.1% (end-2025: 83.7%). Net assets slipped to RMB619.26 million from RMB697.96 million at 31 December 2025, reflecting the payment of a HK$0.05 special dividend (RMB272.07 million).

Operationally, newly-awarded projects reached RMB1.73 billion, down 28.5% year on year, as the company pursued a more selective overseas bidding strategy. The order backlog increased 8.2% to RMB13.37 billion, equivalent to roughly two to three years of revenue visibility. Receivables discipline improved, with turnover days reduced to 159 (1H25: 222).

No interim dividend was declared.

Management signalled a continued focus on cash preservation, cost efficiency and selective project acquisition amid a subdued global macro-economic outlook and persistent currency volatility.
