During the bank's 2026 interim results conference held today, China Zheshang Bank Co., Ltd. President Lv Linhua addressed the outlook for the second half of the year, describing a landscape marked by both persistent challenges and growing confidence.

Lv Linhua, who also serves as the bank's Party Committee Deputy Secretary, Director, and Chief Compliance Officer, noted that while net interest margins across the industry continue to face downward pressure, a notable shift is underway. "We have observed that many peers, in their recently released interim reports, are beginning to show signs of stabilization and even an upward trend in their margins," he said. However, he candidly acknowledged the bank's ongoing asset repricing process, particularly noting that a significant batch of assets with relatively concentrated maturities will undergo repricing in the third quarter. This, he admitted, presents a distinct challenge for the institution, though he maintained an optimistic stance.

Expressing his conviction in the bank's strategic direction, Lv emphasized that by adhering to the four-pronged strategy defined in the first half, and by carefully balancing the five key performance indicators—client base, risk, structure, profitability, and scale—the bank can consolidate the improving operational momentum achieved in H1. He expressed confidence in delivering a satisfactory full-year report to investors across both revenue and profit metrics.
