On the evening of October 8 local time, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces announced that, due to the recent Russia-Ukraine conflict, Polish military aviation forces have launched operations in Polish airspace.
The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces stated that ground-based air defense systems and radar reconnaissance systems have been placed on combat readiness.
Poland said the related actions are precautionary measures aimed at strengthening the monitoring and protection of Polish airspace.
Meanwhile, the Polish Government Security Center sent alerts to residents in parts of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship and Lublin Voivodeship, reminding the public to pay attention to the situation and stating that military aircraft are carrying out related missions in Polish airspace.
