Bank of Jiujiang (06190) has announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, with attributable net profit to shareholders reaching RMB 387 million, a year-on-year increase of 6.24%.

The group's operating income for the period was RMB 5.221 billion, reflecting a decline of 2.27% compared with the same period last year. Basic earnings per share came in at RMB 0.02.

During the first half of 2026, the group has been actively implementing national policies aimed at reducing fees and yielding profits, introducing measures to benefit enterprises and the public, alleviating the operating costs of the real economy, and reducing the financial burden on consumers, all while striving to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial services.

Interest income for the reporting period totaled RMB 7.992 billion, a decrease of RMB 526 million, or 6.2%, year on year. This reduction was primarily driven by a decline in the average annualized yield on interest-earning assets, which was partially offset by growth in average balances. The increase in average interest-earning asset balances was mainly attributed to business expansion, leading to higher loan volumes.

The drop in the average annualized yield was largely due to ongoing interest rate liberalization, which has pushed down macro market rates. Consequently, yields on customer loans and advances, as well as financial investment activities, have declined, and the group has proactively implemented the nation's fee-reduction and profit-yielding policies.
