Tesla Semi Truck Enters Mass Production as Musk Extends Playful Invitation to Bill Gates

Tesla's official X account announced on Wednesday that the first Semi truck has rolled off the production line. The Tesla Silicon Valley Owners Club commented, "Bill Gates would say this is fake."

On Thursday, Elon Musk responded, "Should we send a Semi over to Billy G?"

In a previous interview, Musk revealed that Gates had visited him at Tesla's factory in Texas and bluntly stated, "It's impossible to build a long-haul semi-truck. It just won't work."

Musk replied at the time, "We already have one. Why don't you try driving it yourself? PepsiCo is already using them."

Back in 2020, Gates publicly expressed on his blog that electric semi-trucks, such as the Tesla Semi, and electric airplanes would "likely never be practical."

Responding to a social media user's comment about Gates' remarks, Musk stated, "He has no clue."
