CGN NEW ENERGY Reports 3.2% Rise in Power Generation for First Two Months

CGN NEW ENERGY (01811) announced its power generation statistics. In February 2026, the group's power generation on a consolidated basis amounted to 1452.8 gigawatt-hours, representing a decrease of 1.7% compared to February 2025. By segment, power generation from Chinese wind projects decreased by 3.7%, while Chinese solar projects increased by 21.7%. Chinese hydropower projects saw a reduction of 11.6%, and projects in South Korea decreased by 1.8%.

For the two-month period ended February 28, 2026, the group's cumulative power generation reached 3100.6 gigawatt-hours, an increase of 3.2% compared to the same period in 2025. During this period, generation from Chinese wind projects declined by 3.3%, whereas Chinese solar projects recorded significant growth of 30.0%. Chinese gas-fired projects surged by 1200.0%. Meanwhile, Chinese hydropower projects decreased by 4.5%, and projects in South Korea increased by 10.2%.
