Yizhi Manufacturing's Liu Yanting Achieves Mass Production of 8mm Ultra-Micro Harmonic Reducers, Targeting 20,000 Units Monthly by October

On August 12, Liu Yanting, founder of Shanghai Yizhi Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on the practical application of AI embodied robot dexterous finger joint modules and ultra-micro harmonic reducers. He stated that since the company's establishment in November last year, it has focused on transitioning the engineering prototype of ultra-micro harmonic reducers into mass-produced products, successfully launching 8mm and 3mm ultra-micro harmonic reducers in February this year.

He emphasized that ultra-miniaturization is the core requirement for dexterous finger joint applications. An 8mm harmonic reducer paired with an inner 8mm, outer 14mm bearing can keep the finger joint package diameter within 16mm. If the outer diameter reaches 10mm or 12mm, the package size would exceed 20mm, making it essentially unusable on a finger. In terms of performance, the product's mechanical efficiency has reached over 90%, and after 500,000 repeated validation cycles, the repeatability accuracy remains within ±5 arc seconds. The rotating module has completed 2 million validation cycles, with the flexspline rotating nearly 40 million times, confirming reliability.

He noted that the first sample has been assembled, with production capacity expected to reach 2,000 to 3,000 units per month in September, and forecast to increase to 20,000 units per month by early October. It is reported that Yizhi Manufacturing has secured industrial investment from Hengke Xin (Shenzhen) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Xinjiang Torch Holdings. The two entities will leverage their strengths and collaborate across the industry to drive the localization of core components for embodied intelligent robots.
