Emperador Inc. announced on Jun, 05 2026 that it received a notice of assessment from the Securities and Exchange Commission on May, 29 2026, imposing a penalty of approximately 0.02 million Singapore dollars in connection with a classification matter in the company’s 2023 audited consolidated financial statements.
The Philippine brandy producer said the issue had already been addressed through a restatement of comparative balances in its 2024 financial statements, but regulators maintained that the original filing remained subject to the assessment.
Emperador Inc. added that it will comply with the directive and settle the assessed amount promptly, reiterating its commitment to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
