At the Future Technology Summit hosted by HKEX (00388), HKEX Chief Executive Chen Yi-ting stated that Hong Kong's IPO market fundraising scale has rebounded significantly since the beginning of this year. By the end of August, total Hong Kong IPO fundraising reached HK$137.5 billion, representing a nearly 6-fold increase compared to the same period in 2024, far exceeding the overall performance of global IPO fundraising markets. Chen Yi-ting pointed out that the increased activity in Hong Kong fundraising reflects continued strengthening market confidence, with the "A+H" listing model performing particularly well, accounting for 70% of total fundraising in the first half of the year and serving as an important driver of market growth. Industry professionals believe that HKEX's institutional innovations and active participation from mainland enterprises have brought new development opportunities to Hong Kong's capital market, further consolidating Hong Kong's position as an international financial center.
