Cirrus Aircraft Limited (CIRRUS) has announced that incumbent auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will retire at the conclusion of the company’s next annual general meeting, scheduled for 26 June 2026. PwC has audited the group since 2023, while PwC US has overseen certain U.S. subsidiaries since 2017. The board and its audit, risk control and compliance committee cited auditor rotation best practice to safeguard audit independence and objectivity as the primary reason for the change.
Following PwC’s retirement, the board—acting on the audit committee’s recommendation—intends to appoint KPMG as the new external auditor for the financial year ending 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming AGM. The committee highlighted KPMG’s industry expertise, familiarity with Hong Kong Listing Rules and IFRS, competitive fee proposal, independence, resource capacity and market reputation as key considerations behind the selection.
The company confirmed there are no disagreements or unresolved matters with PwC, and no additional circumstances require shareholder attention. A circular detailing the proposed auditor change and the AGM notice will be dispatched in due course.
