According to Tianyancha App, on August 19, BYD Company Limited applied for a patent titled "Vehicle Drifting Control Method, Vehicle, Electronic Equipment and Storage Medium," which has now been published.

The patent abstract reveals that the vehicle drifting control method includes several key components: determining whether there is drifting intention based on the vehicle's driving status information; when drifting intention is confirmed, determining the vehicle's current drifting angle; when the current drifting angle exceeds the target drifting angle, determining parameter adjustment amounts based on the angle difference between current and target drifting angles, where parameter adjustments include at least one of the drive motor's torque adjustment and rear axle angle adjustment; implementing drifting control based on these parameter adjustments to reduce the vehicle's drifting angle.

This innovative vehicle drifting control method makes the vehicle drifting process simpler and more controllable, effectively lowering the barrier to entry for drifting and enhancing driving enjoyment.
