Wee Hur's stock soared 3.45% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the release of its 2025 annual report which highlighted significant financial and operational progress.
The report revealed a step-change in the company's balance sheet strength, achieved through the successful monetization of its Australian purpose-built student accommodation portfolio. This was complemented by the group broadening its funding options via a debut S$500 million medium-term note program, from which it raised S$205 million to support investment redeployment.
Capital has been redirected into several growth platforms, including a return to Singapore residential development and the expansion of its recurring income base with a new workers' dormitory coming onstream. Portfolio diversification is also accelerating through the development of an international school and an entry into the hospitality sector.
