Three Of The ASX Most Rapidly Expanding Stocks For The Year 2025

Numerous sectors have demonstrated remarkable performance over the past year, with the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) even hitting a record peak. However, three particular ASX-listed stocks have significantly outperformed the broader market.

These are counted among the three fastest-growing stocks globally, and they all trade on the Australian Securities Exchange.

Droneshield Ltd (ASX: DRO)

Droneshield shares surged dramatically, closing 18.43% higher on the ASX on Tuesday at $3.92 each. Year-to-date for 2026, the stock has climbed 27.27%, representing an enormous 429.73% increase compared to the same period last year.

The stock had previously reached a record high in early October last year, only to plummet by 74% within a mere six weeks. Yet, the counter-drone technology firm decisively reversed its fortunes by the end of 2025, and this impressive growth trajectory has continued unabated into 2026.

While the company released no specific news on Tuesday, investors may be speculating that the recent geopolitical tensions between the US and Venezuela could lead to heightened demand for its anti-drone solutions.

Droneshield also boasts a robust growth strategy for the future. Throughout 2026, it intends to significantly scale its manufacturing capabilities, broaden its international presence, and persistently convert its substantial sales pipeline into firm, secured contracts.

Pantoro Gold Ltd (ASX: PNR)

The second standout performer is small-cap gold producer and explorer Pantoro Gold. Its shares edged up 0.57% at Tuesday's market close, settling at $5.27 per share. So far in 2026, the shares have gained 7.55%, and they are up a massive 219.39% from their level a year ago.

Although its growth rate is less explosive than Droneshield's, Pantoro Gold's substantial share price appreciation has been notably more stable. The stock achieved an all-time high in early October last year, fueled by the announcement of promising drill results from its fully-owned Norseman Gold Project in Western Australia.

It subsequently relinquished approximately 25% of those gains by the end of that month. For the rest of the year, however, the share price oscillated consistently around the $5 mark.

Pantoro Gold has ambitious expansion plans for 2026, centered on developing its Norseman Gold Project in Western Australia. The company aims to ramp up annual production to over 200,000 ounces, a significant increase from the current rate of 100,000 ounces per year.

4DMedical Ltd (ASX: 4DX)

4DMedical is a medical technology company specializing in advanced respiratory imaging and ventilation analysis for diagnosing and treating lung and respiratory diseases.

This company ranks as one of the world's fastest-growing stocks. It catapulted to success in August last year following a series of successful partnerships and new commercial agreements. A consistent stream of positive financial results and achieved milestones throughout the remainder of 2025 propelled the share price to new heights.

The ASX-listed stock finished Tuesday's session 2.7% higher, at $4.19 per share. For 2026 to date, 4DMedical shares have advanced 3.46%, but they have recorded a staggering 1,645% gain compared to just six months ago.

In 2026, 4DMedical will concentrate on accelerating the commercial rollout of its newly FDA-approved CT:VQ imaging product, leveraging strategic partnerships and securing new contracts. The company anticipates that 2026 will be a transformative year, driven by increased product adoption and sustained long-term commercial growth.
