QHD PORT: First-Quarter Throughput Climbs 7.77% to 104.85 Million Tonnes, Driven by Coal and Container Gains

Qinhuangdao Port Co., Ltd. (QHD PORT) reported first-quarter 2026 throughput of 104.85 million tonnes, a 7.77% year-on-year increase.

Coal remained the largest volume contributor at 50.90 million tonnes, rising 4.69%. Metal ore throughput expanded 14.62% to 41.39 million tonnes. Oil and liquefied chemicals improved 41.86% to 0.61 million tonnes. Container cargo reached 4.89 million tonnes, up 15.06%; converted into 508,342 TEUs, the container business posted a 33.38% surge. General and other cargos fell 10.41% to 7.06 million tonnes.

By port, Qinhuangdao Port handled 45.98 million tonnes, increasing 13.45%. Caofeidian Port was broadly stable at 32.80 million tonnes, up 0.49%. Huanghua Port processed 26.07 million tonnes, an 8.08% advance.

The company released the operational data on a voluntary basis to update shareholders and potential investors on its business performance for the quarter ended 31 March 2026.
