Philanthropic Efforts in Guangxi: Han Hong Foundation and Celebrities Lead Relief Donations

On July 7th, the Han Hong Love Charity Foundation announced its response to the severe flooding in multiple regions of Guangxi, triggered by persistent heavy rainfall. To support local disaster relief and reconstruction efforts, the foundation has activated its emergency response mechanism. This includes coordinating the allocation of 2 million yuan worth of emergency supplies in line with the government-social collaborative support system for emergency materials managed by the Ministry of Emergency Management, making a targeted donation of 2 million yuan to the Guangxi Charity Federation for the resettlement of affected residents and basic livelihood support, and conducting on-site visits to assess the situation for follow-up aid as needed.

Since July 3rd, parts of Guangxi have experienced clustered geological disasters due to the impact of Typhoon Maysak. Meteorological forecasts indicate that from July 6th to 10th, some areas in Guangxi will continue to face heavy to torrential rain, with high risks of geological hazards, making prevention and response efforts critical. In accordance with the National Emergency Plan for Geological Disasters, the Ministry of Emergency Management upgraded the national geological disaster emergency response for Guangxi from Level IV to Level III on July 6th.

Corporate and Celebrity Aid for Guangxi

In the face of the severe disaster, numerous well-known companies, beverage brands, and celebrities have promptly provided donations and supplies to assist the affected areas in Guangxi. The Tencent Foundation coordinated the delivery of 28,500 emergency meals, 2,000 disaster relief kits, and over a thousand sets of children's resettlement supplies to heavily affected areas like Hengzhou and Fangchenggang. JD.com leveraged its local warehousing and logistics network to dispatch supplies directly to the front lines, donating nearly 20,000 essential items including instant noodles, bottled water, raincoats, and emergency lighting.

The NetEase Foundation organized emergency living supplies from its Yanxuan supply chain, including moisture-proof quilts, folding camp beds, disinfectants, and ready-to-eat food, which were sent in batches to severely flooded areas in Nanning and Guigang. SF Express established a special task force to coordinate with local emergency management departments, donating hundreds of boxes of emergency supplies such as drinking water and bread to the Hengzhou disaster area. Yili urgently allocated nutritional supplies like milk for affected residents and frontline rescue workers.

Alibaba donated the first batch of 10,000 emergency lighting devices, including charging lights and flashlights, which are being urgently dispatched. Luckin Coffee, in collaboration with the China Foundation for Rural Development, donated generators, humanitarian relief kits, hot meals, and other supplies to disaster-stricken areas like Hengzhou for emergency assistance and material support to aid frontline rescue and resettlement efforts.

Bawang Chaji partnered with the China Women's Development Foundation for a special emergency relief project targeting affected areas including Hengzhou, Baise, and Wuzhou, focusing on temporary resettlement of affected people, distribution of emergency supplies for women and children, and basic livelihood support in villages and towns. Jasmine Milk Tea donated 1 million yuan in special disaster relief funds, fully allocated for emergency assistance, procurement of daily necessities, and post-disaster restoration of farmland in Hengzhou and surrounding flood-affected areas.

Huang Xiaoming's Tomorrow Love Fund, along with 12 other charitable celebrities, promptly donated funds and dispatched 4,000 family emergency supply kits to the disaster zone. Currently, flood control, disaster relief, and post-disaster recovery and reconstruction work in Guangxi continue to advance in an orderly manner.
