Embraer S.A. (EMBJ) shares plummeted 7.32% during intraday trading on Friday, following the release of the company's first-quarter 2026 financial results.
The sharp decline was driven by the company's earnings per share falling short of analyst expectations and its full-year revenue guidance coming in below consensus estimates. Embraer reported Q1 earnings of $0.1856 per American Depositary Share (ADS), missing the FactSet consensus estimate of $0.25.
Furthermore, the company's revenue outlook for 2026, projected to be in the range of $8.2 billion to $8.5 billion, disappointed investors as it fell below the analyst estimate of $8.46 billion. While the company's Q1 revenue of $1.45 billion surpassed expectations, the earnings miss and cautious full-year forecast triggered the significant sell-off.
