Precious Metals Mining Stocks Decline in Premarket Trading Following Gold and Silver Price Drop

Shares of precious metals mining companies were broadly lower during premarket trading in U.S. stocks, as prices for gold and silver fell for a second consecutive session.

Newmont Corporation declined 2.8%, Barrick Gold dropped 2.4%, Kinross Gold fell 2.9%, and New Gold was down 2.8%. Hecla Mining decreased 3.5%, Coeur Mining dropped 3.4%, and Endeavour Silver fell 3.5%. Pan American Silver declined 3.1%, and Silvercorp Metals was down 3.1%.

Among copper mining stocks: Freeport-McMoRan decreased 1.9%, and Teck Resources fell 4%.

Spot silver has declined 3.8% over the past two sessions, while gold has dropped 2.4%.
