Shares of SENSETIME-W (00020) jumped more than 7% during intraday trading, and were last seen up 5.97% at HK$1.51, with turnover reaching HK$887 million. The company released its interim results, posting first-half revenue of 2.911 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.4%. Gross profit came in at 1.206 billion yuan, up 32.9% from the prior year, with the gross margin expanding by 2.9 percentage points to 41.4%.

The group also disclosed recurring revenue of 1.14 billion yuan for the first time, representing 39.3% of total revenue, and achieved its first-ever profit under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), reaching 617 million yuan. Notably, generative AI revenue contributed 2.33 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 80% of total revenue, while overseas business revenue surged 127% year-on-year, far outpacing the group's overall growth rate.
