Zhongyu Energy repurchases 0.69 million shares; treasury stock rises to 49.45 million

Zhongyu Energy Holdings Limited disclosed that on 08 July 2026 it bought back 690,000 ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, paying between HKD 2.62 and HKD 2.66 per share. The transaction cost totalled HKD 1.83 million and the volume-weighted average price was HKD 2.65 per share.

Following the repurchase, the number of issued shares excluding treasury stock fell 0.03% to 2,698.86 million, while treasury shares increased to 49.45 million. Total issued shares remained unchanged at 2,748.31 million.

The buyback was executed under the mandate approved on 26 June 2026, which authorises the company to repurchase up to 270.56 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now stand at 6.75 million shares, representing 0.25% of the issued share base at the mandate date.

Under Hong Kong listing rules, Zhongyu Energy is restricted from issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 07 August 2026. The board confirms that the repurchase complied with all applicable regulations and that all requisite filings have been completed.
