UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880) saw its shares rise more than 4% in afternoon trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 3.69%, trading at HK$137.7, with a turnover of HK$857 million. The increase follows the recent high-profile release of the "Tiangong Walker DEX," a full-size, versatile research humanoid robot jointly developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center and UBTECH. It was reported that the product demonstrates significant improvements in areas such as body stability, motion control, embodied brain coordination, and fully autonomous operation. It provides tailored solutions for four core groups in scientific research and education, precisely adapting to various scenarios in research and teaching. Notably, on February 1, UBTECH officially open-sourced its self-developed embodied intelligence model, Thinker. Positioned as "small parameters, high performance, fully open-source," the model ranked first in nine globally recognized benchmark evaluations, including spatial understanding, task planning, visual reasoning, and sequential decision-making, making it the first lightweight, fully open-source embodied intelligence base in the industrial humanoid robot sector.
