Yunnan Energy Sees 1H26 Turnaround with Forecast Net Profit of HK$7–9 Million on Solar Supply Chain Demand

Yunnan Energy International Co. Limited (Yunnan Energy) released a positive profit alert, projecting a return to profitability for the six months ended 30 June 2026. Management expects net profit to land between HK$7.00 million and HK$9.00 million, compared with a HK$2.70 million loss in the prior-year period.

Management attributes the swing to two primary factors:

1. Supply-chain momentum: Revenue and gross profit from the Group’s supply-chain operations rose on the back of stronger demand for photovoltaic modules and silicon materials.

2. Higher investment income: Dividend receipts from equity investments increased year on year, further bolstering the bottom line.

These figures are based on unaudited management accounts and may be adjusted. Final interim results are scheduled for release by end-August 2026. Shareholders and potential investors are urged to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
