China's Ministry of Commerce has issued a statement in response to the ruling announced by a Dutch enterprise court regarding the Nexperia case. When asked about the court's decision on February 11 to initiate an investigation into Nexperia over alleged mismanagement, a spokesperson for the ministry commented that China has taken note of the relevant developments. The spokesperson emphasized that the immediate priority should be restoring stability and smooth operation to the global semiconductor supply chain, which aligns with the shared interests of the international industry, including both China and the Netherlands. China hopes that the Dutch side will work in the same direction, considering the broader need to maintain stability in the global semiconductor industry chain, and create favorable conditions for the involved companies to constructively resolve their internal disputes through consultation.
