ByteDance's AI assistant Doubao has commenced a limited test of its newest video generation model, Seedance 2.0. Users included in the test can access the Seedance 2.0 option by navigating to the "AI Creation" section within the Doubao App and selecting "Video Generation."
Currently, the Doubao App allows users to create videos lasting either 5 seconds or 10 seconds using Seedance 2.0. In contrast, ByteDance's all-in-one AI creation platform, "Jimeng," offers the ability to generate videos ranging from 4 to 15 seconds in length.
When generating a 10-second video, the Doubao App interface indicates that the process utilizes the Seedance 2.0 all-purpose video model and consumes 2 video generation credits, with 8 credits remaining for the day.
Seedance 2.0 was quietly launched on February 7th. It supports four types of input modalities: image, video, audio, and text. The model's "reference capability" is highlighted as its most significant feature.
On February 9th, Feng Ji, founder of Game Science and producer of "Black Myth: Wukong," shared his in-depth experience with Seedance 2.0 on social media, praising it as "the undisputed strongest on the planet."
