This golden September, the city terminal at Qingdao Airport's Fuxin Mansion is running smoothly. Passengers calmly complete check-in and baggage drop at the counters, wait in comfort nearby, and shuttle buses depart for Qingdao Airport on schedule. Since officially opening in March this year, this terminal, situated in the city center, has extended aviation services into the urban core, making the routine of "checking in and dropping off luggage downtown, then taking a shuttle to the airport" a popular new travel option for a growing number of passengers.

Serving as a "front desk for the airport" in the city's central business district, the Fuxin Mansion terminal is the fifth city terminal established by Qingdao Airport, following those in Weifang North Station, Rizhao West Station, Linyi North Station, and Jiaozhou North Station. Located in Qingdao's administrative, cultural, and commercial heart, the facility benefits from a well-developed transport network and concentrated resources, making it a vital hub for both foot traffic and information exchange. The terminal offers a comprehensive suite of pre-flight services, including departure check-in, baggage drop-off, ticket booking, flight inquiries, airport shuttle connections, luggage storage, and baggage wrapping. This extends aviation services into the city center, allowing urban travelers to handle pre-departure preparations right at their doorstep.

Currently, the Fuxin Mansion city terminal handles domestic direct flights from Qingdao (excluding Spring Airlines and 9 Air), as well as all flights departing from Qingdao operated by China Eastern Airlines (including international connections), direct international flights from Qingdao operated by Qingdao Airlines, and check-in services for Air Macau. Its service network continues to expand. Over the past six months, it has assisted nearly 4,000 passengers.

Alongside its business growth, the Fuxin Mansion city terminal continues to roll out attractive perks. Passengers checking in and dropping off baggage with China Eastern Airlines (or Shanghai Airlines) enjoy free baggage service. Travelers can also exchange MixC mall's "MIXSTAR" points for complimentary baggage drop-off and airport shuttle services. Additionally, passengers who check in at the terminal can present their boarding pass for discounts on the buffet at the Fuxin Mansion Hotel. Furthermore, the terminal has introduced a special "Fly in for a Concert" program for concert-goers. Those holding tickets for events at the Qingdao Citizens' Fitness Center Gymnasium can take advantage of round-trip complimentary shuttles, one free piece of checked luggage at the city terminal, room upgrades, and late check-out options.

"I used my MIXSTAR points to get a free shuttle ride, which is great value," said Mr. Zhang, a traveler inquiring at the counter. He has already recommended the city terminal to his colleagues, noting, "Everyone finds this approach of 'handling things early and traveling light' really practical."

The Fuxin Mansion city terminal is a key component of Qingdao Airport's strategy to deepen "air-ground integration" and enhance urban aviation services. In the future, Qingdao Airport plans to continue upgrading the terminal's functions and expanding its reach, enabling more travelers to enjoy the convenience of air travel from their own neighborhoods. Passengers with travel needs can call the service hotline at 0532-85915888 for inquiries, and citizens and travelers are warmly welcomed to visit and experience the service.
