On September 17, Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee delivered the "Chief Executive's 2025 Policy Address" at the Legislative Council. The report emphasized building Hong Kong's new energy industry chain and promoting the development of the electric vehicle battery recycling industry. The Hong Kong government is advancing the city's first large-scale electric vehicle battery recycling facility, expected to commence operations in the first half of 2026 at EcoPark. This facility will convert retired batteries from Hong Kong into regenerated black powder for supply to mainland China and neighboring regions, fostering the development of the electric vehicle battery recycling industry.

The aforementioned facility is ENVISION GREEN's (01783) first power battery processing plant under construction in Hong Kong, with design capacity capable of meeting Hong Kong's projected electric vehicle battery processing requirements by 2035. This facility will serve not only the local Hong Kong market but also extend its reach to the Greater Bay Area and Southeast Asia, becoming a core hub in ENVISION GREEN's global battery cell recycling service network.

Notably, as the global power battery retirement peak approaches, ENVISION GREEN's business positioning is experiencing multiple catalysts, with relatively high certainty for performance growth in the coming years. The company has signed strategic agreements with leading enterprises including Gotion High-tech (002074.SZ) and JinkoSolar (688223.SH), securing future retired battery disposal value exceeding 30 billion RMB.

Additionally, the company co-initiated the "Global Lithium Battery Recycling Network Platform," which constructs a lithium battery recycling network covering four continents worldwide through global deployment, digital traceability, and open cooperation, with plans to achieve 120,000 tons/year recycling capacity by 2030.

As an exemplary Hong Kong enterprise that has successfully transformed from traditional industries to green technology, ENVISION GREEN is positioned to become key infrastructure for Hong Kong's green circular economy and provide stable, reliable closed-loop battery material solutions for the regional new energy industry chain, leveraging its advanced recycling technology, deep partnerships with global mainstream new energy enterprises, and geographical advantages covering the Greater Bay Area.
