Fujian Province recently organized an experience-sharing event for enterprises that won the 5th China Quality Award. The event was hosted by the Fujian Provincial Market Supervision Administration and co-organized by the Ningde Market Supervision Administration and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL). Nearly 700 representatives from government and enterprises participated both online and offline.
At the event, officials from the Fujian Provincial Market Supervision Administration and the Ningde Municipal Government highly commended CATL's exemplary role in driving high-quality development. They called on enterprises to benchmark against industry leaders and urged relevant departments to strengthen collaboration to foster a favorable development environment.
Li Wei, Executive President of CATL's Quality System, elaborated on the company's quality development strategy, centered on the "Trustworthy and Sustainable, Creating the Era" quality management model. Through this approach, CATL has achieved a series of innovative practices, including: - Developing leading safety and reliability technologies, ensuring 100% independent control over core technologies. - Establishing over 7,000 quality control points using machine vision and AI inspection technologies to support quality objectives at a TWh-scale production capacity. - Implementing a full lifecycle quality management system spanning from cutting-edge R&D to aftermarket services.
A representative from the Fujian Provincial Market Supervision Administration also provided an overview of the province's past winners of the China Quality Award and the Fujian Provincial Government Quality Award. They introduced the newly revised "Fujian Provincial Government Quality Award Management Measures" and outlined plans for the 9th Fujian Provincial Government Quality Award application process.
In recent years, Fujian's market regulatory authorities have prioritized supporting high-quality enterprise development by offering policy incentives, resource coordination, platform development, and brand cultivation. Moving forward, they will continue leveraging government quality awards as a key tool to facilitate quality exchange platforms, encouraging local enterprises to learn from industry leaders, strengthen quality foundations, and enhance competitiveness—ultimately advancing Fujian's goal of becoming a quality-driven province.
