Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute Officially Unveiled, New Oriental Culinary Enters New Stage of Higher Quality Development

Recently, with approval from the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, Guiyang New Oriental Culinary Advanced Technical School under CHINA EAST EDU (00667.HK) was officially upgraded to "Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute," with the unveiling ceremony held on August 28. The ceremony was attended by Xiao Zhen, Party Group Member and Deputy Director of Guizhou Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security; Xu Shaobing, President of CHINA EAST EDU; Wan Yuanmao, Director of Professional Development Department of Guizhou Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security; Liu Hualin, Party Committee Member and Deputy Director of Guiyang Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security; Shi Xiao, Deputy Director of Professional Development Department of Guiyang Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security; Wu Li, General Manager of CHINA EAST EDU's Second Culinary Division; Qin Qin, Deputy Director of Organization Department and Party Secretary of Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Huaxi District; Hou Hongbo, Deputy Director of Huaxi District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau; Ye Tao, Deputy Director of Huaxi District Employment Bureau; Chen Rui, President of Guizhou Technical Education and Vocational Skills Training Association; Yang Xiaochuan, Chairman of Guizhou Qianshi Zhicheng Catering Management Co., Ltd.; and Feng Ju, Dean of Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute, along with leaders and guests from industry associations, enterprises, and partner institutions. The event received extensive coverage from major mainstream media outlets.

In his address, Xiao Zhen, Party Group Member and Deputy Director of Guizhou Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, stated that technician institutes serve as important platforms for cultivating skilled talents and promoting high-quality employment. He expressed hope that Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute would use this upgrade as a new starting point, closely align with industrial demands and employment orientation, deeply advance reforms in educational models and talent cultivation mechanisms, strengthen faculty development, increase educational investment, and strive to become a leading modern high-level technician institute in the province and first-class nationally, contributing greater strength to accelerating the construction of a skills-strong province and city.

During the ceremony, Wan Yuanmao, Director of Professional Development Department of Guizhou Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, solemnly read the "Reply from Guizhou Provincial People's Government Regarding Approval for Upgrading Guiyang New Oriental Culinary Advanced Technical School to Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute," marking the institute's official recognition and support at the national level.

The approval for upgrading to a technician institute holds milestone significance for CHINA EAST EDU's development. Wu Li, General Manager of CHINA EAST EDU's Second Culinary Division, stated in her remarks that under the strong leadership of provincial and municipal authorities at all levels, CHINA EAST EDU and Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute will steadfastly maintain the direction of technical education. The group will continue to increase resource allocation and support for the school, focusing on "high-end leadership, diversified education, and connotative development," striving to provide mutual empowerment for Guizhou's technical education and regional economy, and contributing more "Oriental strength" to promoting high-quality development of China's vocational education and achieving the goals of building a strong education, technology, and talent nation.

Since its establishment in 1988, Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute has consistently upheld the mission of "cultivating people for the Party and talents for the country," closely aligning with Guizhou's economic and social development needs. The institute focuses on culinary specialties, establishing four major program clusters: Chinese cuisine, Western pastry, Western cuisine, and Chinese and Western noodles and pastries. Over more than thirty years, it has cultivated tens of thousands of high-quality skilled talents, becoming an important talent cultivation base for Guizhou's catering industry. In her welcome address, Dean Feng Ju reviewed the school's development history and pledged to use the technician institute unveiling as a new starting point to continuously optimize program structure, strengthen faculty, improve educational conditions, deepen teaching reforms, and focus on cultivating high-quality culinary skilled talents needed by the times, providing solid talent support for high-quality development of Guizhou's catering industry and rural revitalization.

Subsequently, Deputy Director Xiao Zhen and President Xu Shaobing jointly unveiled Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute, marking the institute's official entry into a new stage of higher-level, higher-quality development.

After the ceremony, attending leaders and guests conducted field inspections of the institute's teaching areas, training bases, and student living quarters, gaining detailed understanding of program development, faculty allocation, and training facility conditions, while engaging in cordial exchanges with faculty and students and providing guidance for the institute's future development.

The upgrading of Guizhou New Oriental Culinary Technician Institute represents another important initiative by CHINA EAST EDU in serving local development. In the future, the institute will continue to increase investment and deepen educational reforms, further establishing roots in Guizhou and extending influence throughout Southwest China, continuously supplying high-quality, highly-skilled talents for regional economic high-quality development and modernization construction.
