SouthGobi Resources Ltd. (SouthGobi) has postponed the special meeting of shareholders originally set for 27 August 2026 in Vancouver (28 August in Hong Kong).
The delay stems from additional time required to complete the Management Proxy Circular and related materials—particularly disclosures concerning the March 2026 Deferral Agreement—and to secure clearance from the TSX Venture Exchange.
Consequently, the Record Date for determining shareholder eligibility will also be deferred. In line with the revised timetable, all parties to the March 2026 Deferral Agreement have extended the deadline for obtaining shareholder approval to 31 December 2026.
SouthGobi will announce the rescheduled meeting and Record Date when finalized.
The board currently comprises three executive directors (Ruibin Xu, Chonglin Zhu and Chen Shen), two non-executive directors (Zhu Gao and Zaixiang Wen), and three independent non-executive directors (Yingbin Ian He, Jin Lan Quan and Fan Keung Vic Choi).
The company cautions that forward-looking statements, including the anticipated meeting timeline and shareholder approval, are subject to risks and uncertainties and will be updated only as required by law.
