燃油价格与肉干销售之间的异常关联,为食品行业在艰难时刻带来了意外的好处。
康尼格拉(ConAgra)周五表示,今年油价的降低提升了便利店的客流量,从而促进了Slim Jim品牌的销售。
首席执行官肖恩·康诺利解释说,当油价高时,司机不太愿意进便利店买零食。他提到,近年来便利店的客流量低迷影响了Slim Jim的销售,但随着今年油价的回落,这一趋势正在发生逆转。
食品行业正努力恢复销售增长,因为消费者因高昂的杂货价格而减少了消费。康诺利表示,Slim Jim通常是康尼格拉利润最高的业务之一,部分得益于蛋白质热潮。
“蛋白质的需求正在迅猛增长,”康诺利说道。康尼格拉表示,其肉类零食(包括Slim Jim、Duke's和Fatty品牌)的销售在最新季度中按美元计算增长了4%,按数量计算增长了5%。
