During the Xiaomi Pengcheng Technology Conference held on the evening of July 30, Xiaomi Group founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun delivered a keynote speech.

He recalled that at the first Xiaomi automotive technology conference on December 28, 2023, the company set a goal for its car-making venture: to create a dream car rivaling Porsche and Tesla, and to build a mobile smart space that is attractive, enjoyable to drive, comfortable, and safe.

Over the past two and a half years, Xiaomi has launched two vehicles: the Xiaomi SU7 and the Xiaomi YU7. Both models have become blockbuster hits, with cumulative deliveries surpassing 700,000 units.

Lei Jun reiterated the critical role of safety, stating that safety is the foundation, the prerequisite, and above all else. Xiaomi is committed to starting from core underlying technologies, investing tenfold effort, and building a truly outstanding car with sincerity.
