Haisco Pharmaceutical Group Co.,Ltd. (002653.SZ) has announced the receipt of an acceptance notice from the National Medical Products Administration for its Investigational New Drug (IND) application for HSK51155 tablets.

HSK51155 is an orally administered, small-molecule, non-opioid innovative analgesic drug independently researched and developed by the company, which holds independent intellectual property rights for it. In accordance with the chemical drug registration classifications stipulated in the NMPA's announcement (No. 44 of 2020) regarding "Requirements for Chemical Drug Registration Classification and Application Dossiers," this product is classified as a Category 1 chemical drug.

The drug is anticipated to offer effective pain management for patients while reducing the incidence of adverse reactions and avoiding addiction risks, thereby providing a safer and more effective analgesic option for individuals suffering from pain.

In April 2026, the company entered into a collaboration agreement with AbbVie Group Holdings Ltd. concerning HSK51155 and other related projects. Under this agreement, Haisco granted AbbVie the exclusive rights for the development, production, and commercialization of the drug globally, with the exception of Mainland China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Macao Special Administrative Region. This potential transaction has a total value exceeding $700 million.
