周三,知名食品公司康尼格拉(CAG)一季度业绩重挫,营收同比下滑3.8%至27.9亿美元,远低于分析师预期的28.4亿美元。公司股价盘前一度暴跌超5%。
导致康尼格拉营收遭重挫的主要原因,是通胀高涨导致消费者不得不转向购买价格较低的替代品。一季度,公司有机食品销量同比下降1.6%,其主力品类食品杂货和零食业务销量也下滑1.8%,餐饮服务业务更是下滑高达11.1%。
康尼格拉表示,一项重要的热狗业务因临时产能中断,给一季度业绩带来约2700万美元的损失。与此同时,受运输、原材料成本上涨等多重压力,公司一季度毛利率降至26.5%,较去年同期下滑189个基点。
在营收下滑和利润率下降的双重夹击下,康尼格拉一季度每股收益只有53美分,也低于华尔街预期的60美分。总体来看,通胀抬头导致康尼格拉核心品类需求大幅萎缩,令其业绩和股价出现重挫,这也折射出高通胀对传统食品企业的巨大冲击。
