Recently, a unique exhibition of integrity-themed artworks drew many employees to stop and admire at the office building of Hubei Airport Group's Aviation Services Company. The 26 calligraphy and painting pieces, created by staff and their families, skillfully blend the concept of integrity with traditional culture, conveying a refreshing breeze through ink and color.
Calligraphy works feature powerful strokes and thought-provoking aphorisms, such as "Only stillness leads to profound achievement," "Uphold fairness and integrity at the core," and "Do not seek praise for beauty, only let purity fill the world." Paintings, including lotus flowers rising unsullied from mud and plum blossoms braving harsh winter snow, vividly symbolize virtuous character. The creators range from seasoned professionals to new employees, and even include children as young as eight or nine years old.
"Previously, integrity education felt like just meetings and videos, but this time, writing and painting about integrity myself gave me a completely different experience," said one participating employee. Many staff members noted that to produce a quality calligraphy piece on integrity, they repeatedly studied classic poems and pondered each character's stroke, deepening their understanding of integrity culture. The active involvement of several employees' families also extended the culture of integrity from the workplace into their homes.
This event is an innovative initiative during the company's discipline education month this year. A company disciplinary committee official explained that instead of a "one-way lecture," the company built a platform for employees to become creators and disseminators of integrity culture. After the activity launched, various party branches responded enthusiastically, collecting 26 works, many of which are cleverly conceived and technically skilled.
The aviation services company handles air traffic control operations for five branch airports: Yichang, Enshi, Xiangyang, Jingzhou, and Shennongjia. It bears significant safety responsibilities and requires specialized roles. "Air traffic control leaves no room for error, and upholding integrity in the workplace must be equally rigorous," the disciplinary committee official said. Combining discipline education with traditional culture aims to embed integrity values deeply into employees' minds, helping them maintain boundaries and avoid crossing red lines.
After the exhibition, these works will be permanently displayed on the company's integrity culture wall and shared online via the WeChat public platform. Moving forward, the aviation services company will continue exploring more engaging forms of integrity education, transitioning discipline learning from formal meetings to immersive experiences, and fostering a clean and upright atmosphere across the air traffic control frontline.
