On February 24, news emerged that Chen Xi, Design Director of OPPO's ColorOS, posted on Weibo criticizing the latest flagship from Apple, the iPhone 17 Pro, for experiencing multiple instances of lag.

He stated that the issues were not limited to the startup process; after booting up, various daily operations also suffered from countless stutters, indicating a significant drop in quality standards. "I believe something must have changed within the company," he remarked.

The following is the original text from his Weibo post:

"I previously had a company-issued iPhone. Today, while returning it to inventory, I needed to activate the device to check its IMEI. However, I encountered multiple points of lag:

- 'Written and Spoken Language Selection': This step was baffling. It kept loading indefinitely, and the button remained unusable. - 'Require 6-Digit Password': Again, it was unclear what was loading. The button appeared usable, but clicking it produced no response. - 'Bring Device Near to Sign into iCloud Account': Since activation requires logging in, I tried using another logged-in device to complete the process via proximity. However, if the already logged-in iPhone accidentally exited the proximity process, the current device’s activation would freeze, requiring a restart. - 'Enter iPad Password': When attempting to use an old iPad and selecting 'Forgot Password,' the process stalled completely.

It is shocking that this is the performance level of Apple's latest flagship, the iPhone 17 Pro. The problems extend beyond startup to include numerous daily lag issues, clearly indicating a decline in attention to detail. I suspect some internal changes have occurred within the company."
