KUAISHOU-W (01024) Announces First Special Dividend Since IPO, Totaling Approximately HK$2 Billion

On August 21, KUAISHOU-W (01024) released its Q2 earnings and announced a special dividend of HK$0.46 per share, with a total amount of approximately HK$2 billion. The dividend will be paid in cash around October 6 to shareholders registered on September 16.

The financial report shows that Kuaishou's Q2 total revenue reached 35 billion yuan, representing a 13.1% year-on-year increase. Adjusted net profit was 5.6 billion yuan, up 20.1% year-on-year, with the adjusted net profit margin reaching a record high.

In its announcement, Kuaishou stated that this special dividend distribution reflects the board's confidence in the company's long-term growth prospects and robust financial position, while also demonstrating the company's commitment to continuously enhancing shareholder returns. With a solid balance sheet, the company has sufficient strength to reward shareholders while maintaining the financial and operational flexibility needed to drive long-term business development.

Looking ahead, the company will consider various methods to reward shareholders, including share buybacks and dividend distributions, depending on circumstances.
