From March 9 to 14, Qingdao University of Science and Technology conducted its sixth "Career Carnival" employment education activity, simultaneously marking the beginning of the university's 2026 spring recruitment season. As the first event in a series of dual-selection fairs, this session attracted deep participation from renowned industry enterprises such as Wanhua Chemical, National Rubber Center, Intco Medical & Intco Recycling, Merro Technology, Binhu Group, Prinx Chengshan, and Linglong Tire. A dedicated recruitment session for Shandong Energy Group was also held, establishing an efficient platform for talent supply and demand对接 between the university and enterprises. The event venue was bustling with activity, as corporate booths attracted large crowds of students amid a vibrant recruitment atmosphere.

"Graduates from Qingdao University of Science and Technology have always been highly regarded by our group. Participating in this spring recruitment activity, we truly appreciated the university's thoughtful organization and the students' enthusiasm for job seeking," said Bai Shuo, Recruitment Manager at Wanhua Chemical. He added that the group has added 500 new positions to its spring recruitment plan this year, hoping to leverage this opportunity to attract outstanding talent and strengthen the talent foundation for the group's next strategic phase.

Cai Xiaomeng, a member of the class of 2026, noted that the participating companies were of high quality, and the offered salaries met her expectations. She has already received interview invitations from five companies and is optimistic about securing a desirable job offer. During the event, 15 high-quality corporate information sessions were also conducted across the three campuses in Laoshan, Sifang, and Gaomi. Through multi-dimensional and close-proximity promotional formats, these sessions facilitated zero-distance interaction between companies, students, and faculty, creating a distinctive on-campus employment atmosphere.

The "Career Carnival" attracted approximately 2,300 graduates, with nearly 80% proceeding to corporate interview stages. Within the first week of the new semester, over 300 graduates had reached preliminary employment agreements, and 70 had successfully signed contracts. Spring is a peak period for recruitment. Qingdao University of Science and Technology has proactively planned and swiftly implemented employment support services. Since the winter break, the university has actively responded to the Ministry of Education's special initiative for "Promoting Employment through Enterprise Visits and Talent Attraction," utilizing the holiday period to strengthen collaboration with various levels of government, industry associations, alumni enterprises, and alumni. Connections have been established with entities in Jinan, Qingdao, Binzhou, Zibo, Weifang, Liaocheng, and Weihai in Shandong Province, as well as Zhenjiang and Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. Through multi-party coordination involving government, industry, and the university, the scale of available positions continues to expand.

It is reported that Qingdao University of Science and Technology will subsequently organize 11 large and medium-sized dual-selection fairs at both university and college levels, including the fourth China Rubber Industry Dual-Selection Fair and a comprehensive large-scale dual-selection fair, along with nearly 20 specialized information sessions per week. These efforts aim to continuously provide the class of 2026 with a broader, higher-quality, and more efficient employment platform, fully committed to achieving the goal of high-quality and sufficient graduate employment.
